Savoy ahoy!

Savoy ahoy!

At Paskett PR we are very proud of our relationships with leading journalists from the gardening media.

To celebrate this, last month Graham and Holly, along with our client Briggs & Stratton, headed down to London to the prestigious Savoy hotel for the annual Garden Media Guild awards.Savoy

After arrival drinks in the very grand River room, we proceeded in to the breath taking Lancaster ballroom for a delicious three course meal before the awards began.

Briggs & Stratton were a main sponsor of the awards and our table was filled with a whole host of guests and gardening writers. As part of the sponsorship, Briggs sponsored the Trade Journalist of the Year category and Ian Small from the company took to the stage to present the award to a very well-deserving Lucy Summers.

Oxford Street

We’re not ones to turn down a good shindig and it was a great do in an amazing location. The Garden Media Guild is a fantastic thing to be involved in and it was a great chance for us to do some media mingling! Not only that but it was a good opportunity for a spot of Christmas shopping afterwards with a trip to Oxford Street to see the lights and visit John Lewis on a mission to spot Monty the Penguin!

New additions to the Paskett team!

It’s a time of new beginnings here at Paskett PR. We have a new website, new staff and perhaps most excitingly, a new kettle!!

Kitchen appliances aside, our best new asset is the appointment of Marie Gretton, our new junior account executive.

After a succession of new business wins, Marie joined the team in August and completed her trial period to become a fully-fledged member of staff earlier this month.

Louise Carlin, senior account manager, “Marie has quickly become an integral part of the Paskett team, supporting us on a number of client accounts as well as helping with vital admin work. She is also an amazing baker, which means we’ve all had to start exercising a lot more!”

20141027_093923Marie is looking forward to the future, “It’s been a long road to get a full time job since graduating a few years ago. I’m very grateful to Pasketts for giving me a chance and I’ve really enjoyed the last few months.

“Although they said one thing I can improve on is the frequency of my cake making! Despite making a minion for Lou’s birthday, it’s just not enough for this bunch of cake lovers, so I need to channel Mary Berry and get baking!”
